Join the colony

Climate action is no longer a solo game. Multiplayer mode unlocked.

Every morning, your whole colony gets the same two-minute climate mission. You do it alongside the rest of your colony, swipe it, and see what you carried together. Earn rewards to spend at local businesses along the way.

How it works

Two minutes a day.
One colony.

No doomscrolling, no feed. One focused moment that gets you off your phone and into the real world.

Get today's mission

Every morning, every ant in the world gets the same mission. London, Lagos or Los Angeles, it's the same act.

Do it for real

2–5 minutes, out in the real world. Science-backed, genuinely doable, no guilt trip.

Swipe to complete

One satisfying swipe earns XP and Leaves, and keeps your streak alive.

See what the colony did

Each evening, the colony recap shows what you all carried together: CO₂ avoided, litter picked up, neighbours helped.

Three kinds of mission

Every act falls into one of three categories, so the colony looks after the planet and the people around it.

Wild corner mission

Leave one patch of garden, balcony pot or verge untidy for insects.

Why ants?

One ant can't move a log. A colony can.

Climate anxiety comes from feeling like one tiny ant against something huge. But ants never work alone. Every act is proof you can do something, and every evening recap shows what your colony moved together.

59%

of young people are very or extremely worried about climate change. ActAnt is the antidote: action, not doom.Hickman et al., The Lancet Planetary Health, 2021 (10,000 people aged 16–25 across 10 countries).

Today, the colony…9 pm recap

Your colony, working as one. All in one day

48 tonnes CO₂e avoidedSame as taking 10 cars off the road for a yearfrom 31,804 meat-free meals
243 kg of litter collectedThe weight of a grand piano, gone from streets, parks and beachesfrom 24,312 pieces picked up
31 tonnes CO₂e savedSame as planting 522 trees and letting them grow for 10 yearsfrom 4,117 things lent, swapped or fixed instead of bought new

Example recap with illustrative numbers. Assumes ~1.5 kg CO₂e saved per meat-free meal, ~10 g per piece of litter and ~7.6 kg CO₂e per new item avoided. Car and tree equivalents use US EPA figures (4.6 t CO₂ per car per year; 0.06 t CO₂ per tree over 10 years).

Ants have been doing collective action for over 100 million years.
Here's what they know.

20 quadrillion

ants live on Earth, around 2.5 million for every human. Each one is tiny. Together they outweigh all wild birds and mammals combined.

Small never means insignificant.
Scent trails

When an ant finds food it lays a scent trail. Every ant that follows makes the trail stronger, so the best routes win.

That's how one habit becomes the colony's habit.
Living rafts

When floods hit, fire ants link their legs and jaws into a waterproof raft and float until it's safe.

When it gets hard, the colony holds on together.
No boss

The queen doesn't give orders. Each ant reacts to the ants around it, and the colony works out what to do.

Nobody's waiting for permission. Neither should we.
